Our lives all start somewhere, where did yours start? Well, it started in my mother's stomach, really. That's where we all start but on a more serious note, I was raised on a small farm in an even smaller town in Wyoming. What did your parents do for a living? Before my parents split, my mom was your ideal housewife; she had dinner on the table right when you walked through the door and the house was spic and span constantly. My dad, on the other hand, ran our family business. He was a cattle driver, and on the rare occasion, trained Thoroughbreds as a side job. Tell us a little more about your past. Well, I'm an only child... Sort of. I have a half-brother out there somewhere but don't know who the hell he is or what he looks like. I wasn't really all that spoiled by my parents but when my folks split and I stayed with my dad, he basically did. I was raised practically by men as I was surrounded by them. Dad barely had any women working for him as it is and so it was only inevitable that the men working on our land helped out with raising me. I suppose you could say I grew on them and they watched out for me like I was part of their own family. I was taught to ride before I could talk and it wasn't long before I tagged along on cattle drives. Some would say that it's no way to raise a child but I turned out just fine. Any chores I had was turned into my school lessons, so that makes me home schooled. The nearest school from our house was over a three hour drive there and back, and my dad wasn't gonna have me out that far away from him for emergency reasons, so he kept me at home and taught me at home with help from the others. Life was pretty easy going and peaceful where I lived. Of course, we all know that all great things come to an end, and come to an end they did. I was kidnapped at age 17 by this new barn hand my dad had hired. The man, Kaden, if that's even his real name, was no shy than the age of 22 when he came to the farm. He was a charming fella with a deadly smile that could weaken the knees of women half a mile away. He had managed to keep me in the mountains in an old cabin for nearly a year before I was found and it's been a rough life ever since. Wow. That must have had quite an impact on you. Did anything about you change from then after? Sadly, yes. I don't sleep as much as I want to, I became more closed off and mysterious, and find it harder to trust people in general. I became a work-aholic and spent hours on end doing anything and all I could do to keep my mind from wandering. You're quite the strong woman. What other qualities do you have? Well, I'm independent and hard headed. I've got an opinion, and like it or not, you'll hear it one way or another. I don't go out of my way askin' for help unless I truly need it. I constantly strive to better than the person I was yesterday and even though I'm mysterious and all, I go out of my way to make others smile, or laugh, or just be there if they need a shoulder to cry on, or need me to lend an ear. I'm pretty humble but I've got an edge because no one will get away with walkin' all over me. I have a low tolerance for things like stupidity and bratty kids, but then again, those bratty kids help me pay the bills. Even though I'm only 5 feet and 2 inches, there's a lot of spunk and attitude in this tiny package. I'm hell on wheels when necessary, but in all honesty, I'm a sweetheart if you can get past my walls; however, if I give you my trust and you break the trust, don't expect to get it back. It's just the way it is. I just have to protect this ole heart of mine and myself all the same. Speaking of your heart, how is your love life looking these days? I was engaged to be married but I found out he cheated on me and got another girl pregnant. I don't have any children but would love to have some if and when the right man comes my way. Besides riding, what else interests you? Well, seeing as I'm a tomboy, trucks. Power strokes, diesels, duramax, you name it and I'm probably all over it. Guns is a hobby and for my own protection. I like my quiet time and some beer every now and then, basically your typical country girl right here. You've got to hate something. What really gets under your skin? Idiots, being told I can't do something because I'm a lady, being cooped up indoors - makes me feel like I'm a bird in a cage that I can't get out of, whiny brats that feel they are entitled to get everything they want, having nothing to do - being a work-aholic and realizing that all your work is done and you have nothing else to do causes my mind to wander, and when it wanders, it goes to the darker thoughts lurking within it. What do you fear the most? That my kidnapper will find me again, dying alone, not experiencing actual love, and I'm afraid that I won't let myself love another. I also fear not living my life to the absolute fullest and not killing myself in the process. It seems like you always make light out of dark conversations... Why is that? It's just the way I deal with things... I'll listen to what's bothering them and all, and sometimes, after all the smoke is aired out, most people just need to laugh and shake their inner demons. You care a lot about people, don't you? As much as I hate to admit it, yes I do. It's a good thing and a bad thing all the same. Let's move away from all the seriousness. On a normal day, what can we find you wearing? Jeans, t-shirts, plaid shirts, boots, and cowboy hat. Before you even ask, it's pretty much the same for competition-wise as well, just a little bit more glitzy. What's your favorite food? Honestly, anything homemade. I think I'll be the first woman to admit that I'd much rather have a burger and fries than a salad any day. Holy cow! And you still look good! Thanks, I work out whenever I can to maintain myself. Before we part ways, is there anything else we should know about you? I play guitar when I can, and I do some bartending on off days to help make ends meet. hi there! i am maya and i play azaria montgomery. i live in eastern standard time, and i've been roleplaying for 10-13 years. crash caught my eye because it looks so pretty and to get back into role playing humans again and i'm pretty pumped to be here. you can contact me by pm or aim. |
